SCETTI (State Clean Electricity Transition Tracker - India) presents state-level data relating to electricity in India with a specific emphasis on uncovering policy opportunities to transition away from coal. Currently, there is no data platform that effectively integrates technical data relating to electricity/energy transitions with energy policy data at the state level in India. It is well known that transparent data and urgent policy action are required to enable India to transition away from coal for electricity. The project emphasizes the identification, collection and effective synthesis and analysis of relevant state-level electricity data (technical, financial, and policy-level) to accelerate India’s energy transition.

The hope is that this open data portal will contribute to research, analysis and informed policy decisions at the state-level. This project resulted from a Subak Fellowship award to Abhayraj Naik in March 2022.
