Shefali Deshmukh is a third year law student at the West Bengal National University of Juridical Science, Kolkata. She is interested in Intellectual Property Law, Arbitration and Environmental Law. She has actively participated and achieved accolades in various law school events like the Oxford Intellectual Property Law Moot Court Competition and International Mediation Singapore to name a few.
Her legal education has enriched her understanding of current issues by enabling her to perceive the legal complexities surrounding them. She believes that bringing about change is a collective duty and that every individual bears the responsibility of shifting the world ever so slightly in the direction they choose. She harbours hope for a kinder world that cares about the quality of life imparted to not just humans but all living beings
As a resident of Bangalore, Karnataka, (also called the Garden City of India), she has always felt a strong connection to nature. In her free time, she can be found taking long walks in Bangalore’s many parks, fervently searching for her next favourite book or sharing a cup of coffee with her friends.
